Every day, dedicated men and women work behind the scenes to keep our neighborhoods safe, healthy, and thriving. From first responders to community caregivers and local leaders, their service often goes unnoticed—but it never goes unappreciated.
Join ENGAGE for Safe Communities on Saturday, September 19 for Heroes & Helpers: A Community Appreciation Afternoon, a family-friendly gathering dedicated to celebrating those who serve our community.
Enjoy complimentary refreshments while getting to know the people who protect, support, and strengthen our neighborhoods. This is a relaxed opportunity to connect, express your gratitude, and help build stronger relationships between residents and those who serve our community every day.
Kids are especially encouraged to attend! Families will have the opportunity to decorate and sign a giant community appreciation banner, create handmade thank-you messages, and help us send a heartfelt reminder that their service matters.
Whether you're coming to thank a police officer, firefighter, paramedic, public works employee, school resource officer, crossing guard, or another community caregiver, your presence is a meaningful way to show appreciation.
Date: Saturday, September 19
Time: 1:30pm to 3:00pm
Location: Helen Plum Library Meeting Room
Bring your family, invite a neighbor, and join us as we celebrate the everyday heroes and helpers who make our community a safer, stronger place to call home.
